This document, issued by the FIA Formula One Technical Delegate Jo Bauer, details the scrutineering checks conducted before, during, and after the first and second free practice sessions of the 2025 Italian Grand Prix.
Before the First Free Practice Session:
- Exhaust System Components: Checked against team declarations.
- Driver Helmet Camera / Ballast Installation: Checked on all cars.
During the First Free Practice Session (P1):
- Tyre Starting Pressures: Checked on all cars.
- Engine High Rev Limit Bands: Checked on all cars.
- Fuel Flow Meter Calibration Checksum: Checked on all cars.
- Instantaneous Fuel Mass Flow: Checked on all cars.
- Partial Load Fuel Mass Flow: Checked on all cars.
- Fuel Temperature: Checked on all cars.
- Plenum Temperature: Checked on all cars.
- Exhaust Fluid Mass Flow: Checked on all cars.
After the First Free Practice Session:
- Fuel Pressure: Checked on all cars.
- Engine Cooling System Logged Pressure: Checked on all cars.
- IVT Code and Calibration Checksums: Checked on all cars.
- IVT Temperatures: Checked on all cars.
- ES State of Charge On-Track Limits: Checked on all cars.
- Lap Energy Release and Recovery Limits: Checked on all cars.
- MGU-K Power Limits: Checked on all cars.
- Maximum MGU-K Speed: Checked on all cars.
- Maximum MGU-K Torque: Checked on all cars.
- Maximum MGU-H Speed: Checked on all cars.
- MGU-K Power Model: Checked on all cars.
- ES Power Model: Checked on all cars.
- Torque Coordinator Demands: Checked on all cars.
- Torque Control: Checked on all cars.
- Custom Software Versions: Checked on all cars.
- Fuel Sample: Taken from car number 10.
- Engine Oil Sample: Taken from car number 10.
During the Second Free Practice Session (P2):
- Tyre Starting Pressures: Checked on all cars.
- Engine High Rev Limit Bands: Checked on all cars.
- Fuel Flow Meter Calibration Checksum: Checked on all cars.

- Lap Energy Release and Recovery Limits: Checked on all cars.
- MGU-K Power Limits: Checked on all cars.
- Maximum MGU-K Speed: Checked on all cars.
- Maximum MGU-K Torque: Checked on all cars.
- Maximum MGU-H Speed: Checked on all cars.
- Torque Coordinator Demands: Checked on all cars.
- Torque Control: Checked on all cars.
- Chassis FIA Checksum: Checked on all cars.
- Rear Brakes Pressure Control: Checked on all cars.
- Custom Software Versions: Checked on all cars.
- SECU Software Versions: Checked on all cars.
- Tyres Used: All tyres used by drivers during the sessions were checked.
- Fuel Sample: Taken from car number 14.
- Engine Oil Sample: Taken from car number 14.
Fuel and Oil Analysis Results:
- Fuel Analysis: Fuel samples were consistent with approved fuels. Density changes were within permitted limits.
- Engine Oil Analysis: Engine oil samples were analyzed by FTIR spectroscopy and viscometry, found consistent with approved reference samples.
Conclusion: All items were found to be in conformity with the 2025 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
