Document 46 - Race Scrutineering Report

This report, issued by the FIA Formula One Technical Delegate Jo Bauer to the Stewards, details the technical checks conducted before and after the 2025 Italian Grand Prix.
Before the Race:
Part Replacements (after 13:55):
- Aston Martin Mercedes Car 18: RHS lap strap replaced.
Technical Checks Performed:
- Rear Wing Deflection: Vertical and angled main plane deflection on Car 01; rear beam wing deflection on Car 01.
- Wing Gurney Size: Front wing gurneys on Cars 27, 05; rear wing gurneys on Cars 16, 44, 18, 14, 10, 43.
- Front Wing Deflection: Asymmetric and symmetric tests on Cars 01, 14, 10; general front wing deflection on Cars 01, 14, 10.
- Rear Wing Elements: Uppermost adjustable positions and minimum distance between adjacent sections on Cars 81, 16, 44, 01, 12, 14.
- Clutch Paddle Linearity: Checked on Cars 01, 63, 18.
- Fuel Sample: Taken from Cars 04, 12, 55 and analyzed during the race.
- Engine Oil Sample: Taken from Cars 04, 23.
- Tyre Checks (on grid):
- All cars: Tyres fitted, heating blankets disconnected at '5-Minutes' signal.
- Cars 81, 04, 16, 44, 01, 18, 14, 31, 87, 55, 27, 05: LHS and RHS front and rear tyre temperature.
- All cars: Minimum tyre starting pressure of LHS and RHS front and rear tyre.

- Tail (TR 3.8.1)
- Front Wing Profiles (TR 3.9.1), Endplate body (TR 3.9.2), Tip (TR 3.9.3), Diveplane (TR 3.9.4), Endplate (TR 3.9.5)
- Rear Wing Profiles (TR 3.10.1), Pylons (TR 3.10.2), Beam (TR 3.10.3), Endplate Body (TR 3.10.4), Tip (TR 3.10.5), Endplate (TR 3.10.7)
General Technical Checks (All Cars unless specified):
- Plank and Skid Wear: Checked on Cars 81, 04, 16, 44, 01, 63, 12, 06, 23, 05.
- Fuel System: Pressure, logged engine cooling system pressure, flow meter calibration checksums, instantaneous fuel mass flow, partial load fuel mass flow, fuel temperature.
- Engine: High rev limit bands, plenum temperature, oil consumption, exhaust fluid mass flow.
- Hybrid System (IVT/ES/MGU-K/H):
- IVT code and calibration checksums, IVT temperatures.
- ES state of charge on-track limits, lap energy release and recovery limits.
- MGU-K power limits, maximum speed, maximum torque, power model, use at race start.
- MGU-H maximum speed.
- ES power model.
- Checked that ES was not charged while stationary in pits.
- Control Systems: Torque coordinator demands, torque control.
- Chassis: Session type confirmation, FIA checksum.
- Brakes: Rear brakes pressure control, brake temperature warnings.
- Driver Controls: Steering wheel, race start data, single clutch paddle use for race start.
- PCU Dash Display: Verified no configuration change during Parc Fermé.
- Aerodynamic Oscillations: Metrics checked.
- Tyres: Starting pressures during race, cold pressure (Cars 44, 12, 23), tyres used by all drivers today.
- Fuel Consumption: Total fuel mass consumed by Car 63.
- Fuel/Oil Samples:
- Fuel sample taken from Car 01; density checked, analyzed by gas chromatography. Results consistent with approved fuels; density change within limits.
- Engine oil sample taken from Car 01; analyzed by FTIR spectroscopy and viscometry. Results consistent with approved reference engine oil samples.
Infringement Noted:
- Cars 81, 04, 16, 44, 01, 22, 63, 12, 18, 14, 43, 31, 87, 30, 23, 55, 27, 05 exceeded 80 km/h when leaving the formation grid prior to the start of the race.
Conclusion:
All car weights and checked items conformed to the 2025 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
