Document 31 - Post-Race Procedure

NOTE TO TEAMS: POST-RACE INTERVIEWS & PODIUM CEREMONY PROCEDURE
This document outlines the detailed Post-Race Interviews and Podium Ceremony Procedure, supplementing Appendix 5 Podium Ceremony of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.
Post-Race Interviews and Podium Ceremony Procedure Highlights:
- Master of Ceremonies: Appointed by the FIA, responsible for the entire podium ceremony.
- Top Three Drivers: Must return to the Pit Lane to find the 1, 2, 3 boards.
- Weighing: Drivers will be weighed by the FIA. They must remain fully attired (helmet, gloves, etc.). Water will be available in the parc fermé area after weighing.
- Restricted Access: Only team mechanics (with cooling fans), officials, and FIA pre-approved television crews/photographers are allowed in the designated area. No team PR personnel or driver physios until the podium ceremony concludes.
- Attire: Drivers finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd must remain fully attired in their driving suits, 'done up' to the neck, not opened to the waist, throughout the Post-Race Interviews and Podium Ceremony Procedure (Article 63.2).
- Post-Race Interviews: Conducted in a designated area with an interviewer selected by the Commercial Rights Holder. Drivers must not interfere with parc fermé protocols.
- Cool Down Room: After interviews, drivers are escorted to the cool down room and given a Pirelli Cap.
- Podium Area: Drivers are then escorted to the podium area (1, 2, 3 Rostrum and Dias).
- Podium Ceremony Introduction: An announcement will introduce the 3rd and 2nd placed drivers to their respective Dias steps, followed by the winning driver to their position.
- Anthems and Flags: National Anthems will be played, and flags displayed.
- Trophy Presentation: Dignitaries will present trophies as arranged by the Master of Ceremonies.
- Presentation Order:
- Winning Driver
- FIA Medal for the Winning Driver
- A representative of the Winning Constructor
- 2nd Place Driver
- 3rd Place Driver
- Post-Podium: Top three drivers are escorted by the FIA Media Delegate to the TV pen, then to the FIA Press Conference.
- Drivers from 4th and Beyond: Must proceed directly to the TV pen after being weighed in Parc Fermé, remaining fully attired. If no written media session is organised, they must be available for interview in the written media zone after TV interviews.
- Retired Drivers: Must go to the TV pen (and written media pen if no written media session is organised) upon returning to the paddock.
