Technical Delegate's Report
Event: 2026 Japanese Grand Prix

1. Before the Race
- Digital Scanning: The floor of car 41 was scanned and compared with CAD drawings for technical regulation compliance.
- Deflection Tests: Front wing and flap deflection tests were conducted on cars 81, 05, and 10.
- Grid Checks:
- Tyre heating blankets were disconnected at the 5-minute signal.
- Tyre temperatures were checked on cars 81, 12, 63, 03, 23, 55, 14, 18, 05, 10, and 77.
- Minimum tyre starting pressures were checked on all cars.
2. After the Race
- Weight Checks: All cars were weighed (including cars driven by Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, George Russell, Max Verstappen, etc.).
- Aerodynamic Inspections: Extensive bodywork checks (Floor, Nose, Chassis, Wings) were performed on cars 16, 03, and 30.
- Fuel and Oil Analysis:
- Fuel samples from cars 63, 44, 31, and 03 were analyzed via gas chromatography.
- Engine oil samples from cars 63 and 44 were analyzed via FTIR spectroscopy.
- Special Inspection: Car 44 (Lewis Hamilton) was randomly selected from the top ten for an extensive fuel system inspection (Article C5.9 and C6).
3. Conclusion
All car weights and the items checked were found to be in conformity with the 2026 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
