Post-Race & Podium Ceremony Procedure
This document outlines the mandatory procedures for the podium ceremony and media activities following the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix.
1. Podium Ceremony Protocol
- Master of Ceremonies: Appointed by the FIA to oversee the entire ceremony.
- Top 3 Finishers: After the chequered flag, drivers must return to the Pit Lane and stop at the 1, 2, 3 boards.
- Weighing: Drivers will be weighed by the FIA. They must remain fully attired (helmet, gloves, etc.) until weighing is complete.
- Dress Code: Per Article B10.2.2, the top 3 drivers must remain in their driving suits, zipped up to the neck, until the end of the ceremony and interviews.
2. Interview & Media Schedule
- Post-Race Interviews: Conducted in the Pit Lane by a person selected by the Commercial Rights Holder.
- Cool Down Room: After interviews, drivers go to the cool down room and receive their Pirelli caps.
- TV Pen & Press Conference:
- Top 3: Escorted to the TV Pen, then to the FIA Press Conference.
- 4th Place onwards: Must go directly to the TV Pen after weighing.
- Retired Drivers: Must report to the TV Pen as soon as they return to the paddock.
3. Trophy Presentation Order

- FIA Medal for the Winning Driver
- Winning Constructor Representative
- 2nd Place Driver
- 3rd Place Driver
