The Stewards have reviewed a report from the Race Director and considered the following matter:

Incident Details

• No / Driver: 22 - Yuki Tsunoda
• Competitor: Oracle Red Bull Racing
• Time of Incident: 14:12
• Session: Race
• Fact: Car 22 collided with Car 18 in Turn 8.
• Infringement: Breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 d) of the FIA International Sporting Code.

Decision

• Penalty: 10 second time penalty.
• Penalty Points: 2 penalty points (7 points in total).

Reason for Decision

• The Stewards reviewed video and in-car video evidence.
• On lap 6, Car 22 (Yuki Tsunoda) approached Turn 8 with significantly more speed than the cars ahead.
• Car 22 closed up on the inside behind Car 18 (Lance Stroll), made contact with the rear of Car 18, causing a collision and forcing Car 18 into a spin.
• The Stewards determined that Car 22 was entirely responsible for the incident, and the standard penalty for causing a collision was applied.

Competitors are reminded of their right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions made by the Stewards are independent of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines, and evidence presented.
