This document outlines the post-race interviews and podium ceremony procedures for the 2025 São Paulo Grand Prix, issued by the FIA Formula One Media Delegate.
Post-Race Interviews & Podium Ceremony Procedure
Key Steps for Top Three Drivers:
- Return to Pit Lane: Drivers finishing in the top three must return to the Pit Lane where the 1, 2, 3 boards are located.
- Weighing: Drivers will be weighed by the FIA, fully attired (helmet, gloves, etc.). Water will be provided in the parc fermé area.
- Designated Area Access: Only team mechanics (with cooling fans), officials, FIA pre-approved TV crews, and photographers are allowed in the designated area. No team PR personnel or driver physios are permitted until the podium ceremony concludes.
- Attire: Drivers must remain fully attired in their driving suits, 'done up' to the neck, not opened to the waist, throughout the post-race interviews and podium ceremony.
- Interviews: Post-race interviews will take place in a designated area, with the interviewer selected by the Commercial Rights Holder.
- Parc Fermé: Drivers must not interfere with parc fermé protocols.
- Cool Down Room: After interviews, drivers will be escorted to the cool down room and given a Pirelli Cap.
- Podium: Drivers will then proceed to the Podium area (1, 2, 3 Rostrum and Dias).
- Ceremony Order:
- Announcement of 3rd and 2nd placed drivers to their respective podium steps.
- Announcement of the winning driver to their position.
- National Anthems and flag display.
- Dignitaries present trophies.
- Trophy acceptance order: Winning Driver, FIA Medal for Winning Driver, Representative of Winning Constructor, 2nd Place Driver, 3rd Place Driver.
- Post-Podium: The top three drivers will be escorted to the TV pen, then to the FIA Press Conference.
Procedures for Other Drivers:
- 4th Place and Beyond: Drivers from 4th place onwards must go directly to the TV pen after being weighed in Parc Fermé, remaining fully attired.
- Written Media: Drivers from 4th place onwards without a scheduled written media session must be available for interviews in the written media zone next to the TV pen after their TV interviews.
- Retired Drivers: Drivers who retire must go to the TV pen (and written media pen if no written media session is organised) immediately upon returning to the paddock.
