This document, issued by the FIA Formula One Media Delegate, outlines the detailed procedures for post-race interviews and the podium ceremony for the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Post-Race Interviews & Podium Ceremony Procedure
General Provisions
- The FIA-appointed master of ceremonies is responsible for the entire podium ceremony.
- Drivers finishing in the top three must return to the Pit Lane where 1, 2, 3 boards will be located.
Driver Weighing and Attire
- Drivers will be weighed by the FIA, fully attired (helmet, gloves, etc.). Water will be provided in the parc fermé area after weighing.
- During post-race interviews and the podium ceremony, drivers in positions 1, 2, 3 must remain fully attired in their driving suits, zipped up to the neck.
Designated Areas and Access
- Only team mechanics (with cooling fans), officials, FIA-approved television crews, and photographers are allowed in the designated area. No team PR personnel or driver physios are permitted until the ceremony concludes.
- Post-race interviews will occur in a designated area, with the interviewer chosen by the Commercial Rights Holder.
- Drivers must not interfere with parc fermé protocols.
Podium Ceremony Flow
- Cool Down Room: After interviews, drivers are escorted to the cool down room and given Pirelli caps.
- Podium Area: Drivers then proceed to the podium area with the 1, 2, 3 rostrum and dias.
- Introduction: An announcement introduces the 3rd and 2nd placed drivers to their respective podium steps, followed by the winning driver.
- Anthems & Flags: National anthems will be played, and flags displayed.
- Trophy Presentation: Dignitaries present trophies as arranged by the master of ceremonies.

- Winning Driver
- FIA Medal for the Winning Driver
- Representative of the Winning Constructor
- 2nd Place Driver
- 3rd Place Driver
Post-Podium Procedures
- TV Pen: The top three drivers are escorted to the TV pen by the FIA Media Delegate.
- Press Conference: The top three drivers are then escorted to the FIA Press Conference.
- Other Drivers (4th and beyond): After weighing in Parc Fermé, these drivers must go directly to the TV pen, remaining fully attired. If no written media session is organized, they must be available in the written media zone after TV interviews.
- Retired Drivers: Drivers who retire during the race must go to the TV pen (and written media pen if applicable) upon returning to the paddock.
