  • Infringement Alleged: Breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 d) of the FIA International Sporting Code.

Stewards' Decision

  • Decision: No further action.

Reason for Decision

  1. The Stewards received reports from the Race Director (documents 85 & 86) and heard from both drivers (Max Verstappen of Car 3 and George Russell of Car 63) and their respective team representatives.
  2. Evidence reviewed included:
    • Positioning/marshalling system data
    • Video footage
    • Timing data
    • Telemetry data
    • Team radio communications
    • In-car video evidence
  3. Upon review, it was determined that there was minor contact between the cars at Turn 1.
  4. Both drivers considered this incident to be a minor racing incident, and the Stewards concurred with this assessment.

Right to Appeal

Competitors are reminded of their right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
