The Stewards have reviewed a report from the Race Director regarding Car 44 (Lewis Hamilton) and have made the following determination:

Incident Details

• No / Driver: 44 - Lewis Hamilton
• Competitor: Scuderia Ferrari HP
• Time of Incident: 14:10
• Session: Race
• Fact: The Driver did not follow the Race Director's Instruction for the use of the escape road at the exit of Turn 4 (item 18.2 of the Event Notes).
• Infringement: Alleged breach of Article 12.2.1 i) of the International Sporting Code.

Decision

No further action.

Reason for Decision

The Stewards reviewed video evidence, including in-car footage, and found the following:

• Car 44 locked brakes while approaching Turn 4 and subsequently entered the run-off area.
• The Stewards determined that the car was carrying excessive speed, making it impossible for the driver to utilize the designated escape road as instructed.
• Therefore, the driver had a justifiable reason for not complying with the Race Director's instruction.

Given these circumstances, the Stewards decided against taking any further action.

Right to Appeal

Competitors are reminded of their right to appeal certain decisions made by the Stewards. Such appeals must be made in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, and within the specified time limits.
