2026 Spanish Grand Prix - Technical Delegate's Report (Document 72)

⏱️ Before the Race Checks
- Floor Deflection Test: Car numbers 01, 12, 44
- Front Wing Scans & CAD Comparison: Car number 23 (digital scan compared with team-declared CAD drawings and Technical Regulations)
- Front Wing Flap Adjustable Range: Car number 23
- Clutch Paddle Linearity Checks: Car numbers 44, 87, 27
- Fuel & Oil Samples:
- Fuel samples taken from cars 14, 81, 87
- Engine oil samples taken from cars 14, 87
- Grid Procedures:
- Confirmed all cars fitted tyres and disconnected tyre heating blankets upon the "5-Minutes" signal.
- Tyre temperatures checked on cars 01, 63, 03, 30, 16, 44, 23, 41, 05, 10.
- Minimum tyre starting pressures checked on all cars.

🔍 Aerodynamic & Bodywork Checks
The aerodynamic components and bodywork areas were checked on cars 16, 43, and 03 (conforming to various Technical Regulations Article C3 sections, including Floor Body, Foot, Sidewall, Board, Bib, Corner, Auxiliary Components, Nose, Chassis, Roll Hoop, Mirror, Driver Cooling, Sidepod, Engine Cover, Tail, Front & Rear Wing profiles and endplates).
⚙️ Power Unit & System Checks
- Oil Consumption: Physical check on car 81. Engine oil sample taken from car X12 and analyzed via FTIR spectroscopy & viscometry (consistent with reference samples).
- Fuel Checks:
- Fuel pressure, flow meter calibration, instantaneous/partial load energy flow, temperature, and plenum temperature checked on all cars.
- Fuel samples taken from cars 12 and 41 (density and gas chromatography analysis confirmed compliance with approved fuels).
- PU & Electronics: Turbocharger speed, PU/MGU-K power reduction rates, DC sensor temperatures, ES state of charge limits, ERS recharge limits, MGU-K power limits/speed/use at start, chassis FIA checksum, torque coordinator/control, and rear brakes pressure control (checked on cars 12, 03, 16, 41, 31, 27, 10).
- Tyres & Start Data: Starting pressures, cold pressures (car 27), used tyres, steering wheel, race start data, single clutch paddle use, and formation grid speed limit (max 80 km/h) all verified.
Conclusion: All the above items were found to be in conformity with the 2026 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
