Summary of Checks

The FIA Formula 1 Technical Delegate reports that various technical checks were carried out during the third free practice (P3) session and qualifying session for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix. All items were found to be in conformity with the 2026 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.

1. During the Third Free Practice (P3) Session

Checked on all cars:

• Tyre starting pressures, fuel pressure, and engine cooling system pressure.
• Engine high rev limit bands and fuel flow meter calibration checksums.
• Instantaneous and partial load fuel energy flow, fuel temperature, plenum temperature.
• Engine intake air pressure and maximum turbocharger speed.
• PU and MGU-K reduction rates, DC sensor temperatures, and on-track ES state of charge limits.
• ERS recharge limits, maximum MGU-K power limits and speed.
• MGU-K power model and ES power model.
• Torque coordinator demands, torque control, and SECU custom software versions.

2. Before Qualifying Session

• Confirmed that gear ratios used for the remainder of the competition belong to the ratios declared to the FIA technical delegate at or before the first competition of the 2026 Championship.

3. During and After Qualifying Session

• Weighing & Weight Distribution: Conducted on designated cars.
• Aerodynamic & Bodywork Checks: Comprehensive checks of bodywork areas (Floor Body, Floor Foot, Floor Sidewall, Nose, Front/Rear Wings, etc.) on specific car numbers (e.g., car 10 during qualifying; cars 81, 06, 44 after qualifying).
• Power Unit & Electronics Checks: Fuel systems, temperatures, pressures, torque sensors, SECU software versions, and wing adjuster transition times.
• Tyres: Starting pressures and cold pressures (cars 12 and 27) checked.
