Car 11 failed to follow the Race Director's instructions regarding practice starts.
Infringement
Breach of Article 12.2.1.i of the FIA International Sporting Code and non-compliance with the Race Director’s Event Note (item 13.6, document 48).
Decision
Driver: Reprimand (Driving) Note: This is the driver’s 1st reprimand of the season.
Reason
The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 11 (Sergio Perez) and the team representative. They also reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, external video, and in-car video evidence.
- The driver admitted that he had made a practice start in the wrong position.
