1. Overview

In addition to the provisions of Article B10.2 of the FIA F1 Regulations, the following Post-Race and Podium Ceremony procedures must be strictly followed.

2. Procedure for the Top 3 Drivers

  1. Grid Stop: After taking the chequered flag, the top three drivers must stop on the grid near grid position 7 (where boards 1, 2, and 3 will be located).
  2. Weighing: Drivers will be weighed by the FIA. They must remain fully attired (helmet, gloves, etc.) during weighing. Water will be available in the parc fermé area afterward.
  3. Access Restriction: Only team mechanics (with cooling fans), officials, pre-approved TV crews, and photographers are allowed in the area. No team PR or driver physios (physios must wait outside the cool down room).
  4. Driving Suit Regulation:

    Article B10.2.2: "For the duration of the Podium Ceremony and post-Race interview procedure, the drivers finishing the Race in 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions must remain attired only in their Driving Suits, 'done up' to the neck, not opened to the waist."

  5. Interviews: Post-race interviews will take place on the grid.
  6. Cool Down Room: Once interviews are completed, drivers will be escorted to the cool down room and given their Pirelli caps.
  7. Podium Ceremony: Drivers will be introduced in the following order: 3rd place, 2nd place, and then the Winner.

Podium Presentation Order:

  • Winning Driver
  • FIA Medal for the Winning Driver
  • 2nd Place Driver
  • 3rd Place Driver
  • Representative of the Winning Constructor

3. Post-Ceremony Media Requirements

  • Top 3 Drivers: Escorted by the FIA Media Delegate to the TV pen, and then to the FIA Press Conference.
  • Drivers 4th and Beyond: Must go directly to the TV pen after being weighed in Parc Fermé (must remain fully attired until weighed). If they do not have a separate written media session, they must also be available at the adjacent written media zone.
  • Retired Drivers: Must proceed to the TV pen (and written media pen if applicable) immediately upon returning to the paddock.

4. Parc Fermé & Podium Diagram Layout

  • Grid 7: Location for the top 3 cars (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and FIA Scale.
  • Security Gates: Positioned to control access to the podium and cool down room.
  • Prince Guards Orchestra: Positioned near the pit exit.
  • VIP Exit: Located through the pit exit.
