The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

Incident Details

  • Driver: No. 63 - George Russell
  • Competitor: Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team
  • Time: 14:29
  • Session: Free Practice 1
  • Fact: Pit lane speeding – 60.3 km/h

Infringement

Breach of Article B1.6.3a of the FIA F1 Regulations.

Decision

The competitor (Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team) is fined €100.

Reason

Car 63 exceeded the pit lane speed limit, which is set at 60 km/h for this event, by 0.3 km/h (recorded speed: 60.3 km/h).


Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
