Technical Delegate's Report

1. During the Third Free Practice Session (FP3)

The following routine checks were carried out on all cars:

  • Tyres: Tyre starting pressures were verified.
  • Engine & Cooling: Engine high rev limit bands, logged pressure within the engine cooling system, and SECU custom software versions were checked.
  • Fuel System: Fuel pressure (from FP2), fuel flow meter calibration checksum, instantaneous and partial load fuel energy flow, and fuel temperature were checked.
  • Power Unit (PU) & ERS: Plenum temperature, engine intake air pressure, maximum turbocharger speed, PU/MGU-K power reduction rates, DC sensor code/calibration checksums, on-track ES state of charge limits, ERS recharge limits, and maximum MGU-K power/speed limits were checked.
  • Torque: Torque coordinator demands and torque control were verified.

After FP3:

  • An engine oil sample was taken from Car 5.

2. Before the Qualifying Session

  • Fuel Samples: Taken from Cars 14, 43, and 55.
  • Engine Oil Samples: Taken from Cars 14 and 43.
  • Gear Ratios: Confirmed for all cars to be in conformity with the declared gear ratios for the 2026 Championship.

3. During the Qualifying Session

  • Weighing & Weight Distribution: Checked on Cars 03, 06, 44, 23, 55, 14, 87, 27, 43, 11, and 77.
  • Aerodynamic & Bodywork Checks: A comprehensive check (covering Floor, Nose, Chassis, Wings, Sidepods, etc. under TR Article C3) was conducted on Car 14.
  • Tyres: Tyre starting pressures were checked on all cars.

4. After the Qualifying Session

  • Weighing: Checked on Cars 81, 01, 63, 12, 03, 06, 16, 44, 30, and 10.
  • Aerodynamic & Bodywork Checks: Comprehensive checks conducted on Cars 01 and 30.
  • System Checks: Fuel pressure, engine cooling, fuel flow, MGU-K limits, torque control, steering wheel, and rear brakes pressure control were checked on all cars.
  • Cold Tyre Pressures: Checked on Cars 3 and 30.
  • Fuel & Oil Analysis:
    • Fuel samples taken from Cars 12 and 44 were analyzed via gas chromatography; results conformed to approved reference fuels.
    • An engine oil sample from Car 14 was analyzed via FTIR spectroscopy and viscometry, conforming to approved reference samples.
