• McLaren and Red Bull appealed after Gasly’s post-race time penalty for pit-lane speeding was wiped out by a Right of Review hearing.
• A LIDAR scan showed the distance between timing loops was 77cm shorter than originally configured, meaning Gasly’s speed could not be proven to have exceeded the 60km/h limit.
• That evidence couldn’t help drivers who already served their penalties in the race, such as McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Mercedes’ George Russell.
