Technical Delegate's Report

Event: 2026 Austrian Grand Prix Date: 26 June 2026 Document No: 24

1. Before the First Free Practice Session (P1)

  • Exhaust system components checked against team declarations.
  • Driver helmet camera assembly or correct ballast installation verified on all cars.

2. During the First Free Practice Session (P1)

  • Checked on all cars:
    • Tyre starting pressures
    • Engine high rev limit bands
    • Instantaneous fuel energy flow
    • Partial load fuel energy flow
    • Fuel temperature
    • Plenum temperature
    • Engine intake air pressure

3. After the First Free Practice Session (P1)

  • Checked on all cars:
    • Fuel pressure
    • Engine cooling system logged pressure
    • Maximum turbocharger speed
    • DC sensor temperatures
    • On-track ES state of charge
    • ERS recharge limits
    • Maximum MGU-K power limits
    • Maximum MGU-K speed
    • Custom software versions
  • Samples taken from Car 77:
    • Fuel sample
    • Engine oil sample

4. During the Second Free Practice Session (P2)

  • Checked on all cars:
    • Tyre starting pressures
    • Engine high rev limit bands
    • Instantaneous fuel energy flow
    • Partial load fuel energy flow
    • Fuel temperature
    • Plenum temperature
    • Engine intake air pressure

5. After the Second Free Practice Session (P2)

  • Specific checks:
    • Car 27: Weighed
  • Checked on all cars:
    • Fuel pressure
    • Engine cooling system logged pressure
    • Maximum turbocharger speed
    • DC sensor temperatures
    • On-track ES state of charge
    • ERS recharge limits
    • Maximum MGU-K power limits
    • Maximum MGU-K speed
    • Chassis FIA checksum
    • Rear brakes pressure control
    • Custom software versions
    • SECU software versions
    • Tyres used during the day
  • Samples taken from Car 27:
    • Fuel sample: Results showed fuels were consistent with approved samples and density changes were within limits.
    • Engine oil sample: FTIR spectroscopy and viscometry showed consistency with approved reference samples.

Conclusion: All items were found to be in conformity with the 2026 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
