Post-Race Procedure - 2026 Chinese Grand Prix
This document outlines the mandatory procedures for the post-race interviews and podium ceremony, in accordance with Article B10 of the FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations.
1. Top Three Drivers (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
- Parking: Top three drivers must stop on the grid near Grid Position 17.
- Weighing: Drivers must be weighed by the FIA while fully attired (helmet, gloves, etc.).
- Attire: Drivers must remain in their driving suits, zipped up to the neck, throughout the ceremony and interviews.
- Interviews: Post-race interviews will take place in the Pit Lane before moving to the cool-down room.
- Podium Ceremony Order:
- Winning Driver
- FIA Medal for the Winning Driver
- Winning Constructor Representative
- 2nd Place Driver
- 3rd Place Driver
- Post-Podium: Drivers will be escorted to the TV pen and then to the FIA Press Conference.
2. Other Drivers (4th and beyond)
- Must proceed directly to the TV pen after being weighed in Parc Fermé.
- Must be available for written media if no separate session is organized.
3. Retired Drivers
- Drivers who retire during the race must go to the TV pen as soon as they return to the paddock.
Note: Only team mechanics (with cooling fans), officials, and pre-approved media are allowed in the designated Parc Fermé area. Team PR and physios must wait outside the cool-down room.
