Max Verstappen was noticeably absent from a special screening of the ‘F1’ movie in Monte Carlo, held ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.

While F1 drivers, team principals, and special guests attended the first viewing of Brad Pitt’s new movie, Verstappen and Lance Stroll opted out.

Why Verstappen was a no-show

Instead of attending the premiere, Verstappen was streaming on Twitch with Team Redline under the alias ‘Franz Hermann’. He revealed that “Franz was very excited for today” while showing off his sim rig with a new pink steering wheel. When told he sounded familiar, he replied, “Oh, does he?”
