Aston Martin Unveils Extensive AMR26 B-Spec Upgrade in Hungary

Aston Martin has effectively introduced a new car at the Hungarian Grand Prix, bringing a sweeping B-spec package with 16 declared upgrades across the AMR26. The Silverstone team has revised nearly every aerodynamic surface from nose to rear wing in an aggressive bid to recover from a difficult season and establish a stronger development path.

• Front-end: A longer, thinner nose and reshaped front wing with revised endplates headline the changes, joined by modified external front brake ducts to better manage front wheel airflow.
• Floor package: Four separate floor changes aim to increase aerodynamic load across all permitted surfaces, alongside updated leading edge vanes, revised floor edges ahead of the rear tyre, and a completely new diffuser.
• Rear transformation: Revised sidepod inlets, coke section and engine cover improve rearward airflow, while the three-element rear wing has been redistributed with added trailing-edge winglets to boost cornering downforce and reduce straight-line drag. New endplates and a redesigned brace complete the rear.
• Rival activity: McLaren has introduced phase one of a two-part program including floor and rear wing changes, while Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari have targeted rear wing and diffuser tweaks to maximize downforce at the tight Hungaroring.
