Stewards Decision - Car 3 (Max Verstappen)

Fact: Car 3 overtook Car 44 under single yellow flags.
Infringement: Breach of Appendix H, Article 2.5.5b of the FIA International Sporting Code.
Decision: No penalty is applied.
Investigation Details & Findings
- Incident: Occurred exiting Turn 7 while Car 3 was on a push lap and Car 44 was slowing down off the racing line.
- Telemetry & Evidence:
- Car 3 lifted off the throttle within ~40 meters of entering the yellow flag sector.
- Car 44 was braking heavily and reduced speed to less than 60 km/h.
- Speed differential at the overtake point was significant; avoiding the overtake would have required heavy braking, potentially creating an unsafe situation.
- Car 3's speed at the overtake point was ~70 km/h slower than on a normal push lap.
- Conclusion: Although a technical breach occurred (overtaking under yellow), the Stewards accepted it was an unavoidable consequence of the speed differential and decided not to impose a penalty.
