No yellow flag or lights were displayed to the driver, though a green light panel was briefly visible. The driver stated that upon exiting the corner, he noticed the yellow light on his steering wheel and instinctively lifted off the accelerator, which telemetry verified. Although the lift occurred slightly past the yellow flag zone, the Stewards noted the driver's intention and extremely short reaction time, deciding to impose no penalty due to these mitigating circumstances.
