Fact

The following Power Unit (PU) elements have been used:

  • 4th Energy Store (ES)
  • 4th Control Electronics Unit (PU-CE)
  • 4th MGU-K

Note: All Power Unit elements were replaced without the approval of the FIA Technical Delegate during Parc Fermé conditions.

Infringement

Breaches of Article B8.2.2 (read with B8.2.3) and Article B3.5.3 of the FIA F1 Regulations.

Decision

The driver is required to start the Race from the pit lane.

Reason

  1. Grid Penalties Accumulation:
    • Each additional PU element carries a 10-grid place penalty, resulting in an accumulated 30-place grid penalty.
    • Under Article B2.5.4b.iv, any driver who accrues more than 15 cumulative grid position penalties must start from the back of the grid.
  2. Parc Fermé Violation:
    • Since parts of the car were replaced under Parc Fermé conditions without the approval of the Technical Delegate, a pit lane start is mandated in accordance with Article B3.5.3 a.

Competitors are reminded of their right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code.
