This document is the Technical Delegate's Report for the 2026 Miami Grand Prix, issued by Jo Bauer, the FIA Formula 1 Technical Delegate, to The Stewards on May 2, 2026, at 20:30.
Before the Qualifying Practice Session:
- Fuel Samples: Taken from car numbers 30 and 87.
- Engine Oil Samples: Taken from car numbers 30 and 87.
During the Qualifying Practice Session:
- Weighing: Car numbers 81, 01, 63, 12, 06, 44, 23, 41, 30, 18, 31, 27, and 77 were weighed.
- Weight Distribution: Checked on car numbers 81, 01, 63, 12, 06, 44, 23, 41, 30, 18, 31, 27, and 77.

After the Qualifying Practice Session:
- Weighing: Car numbers 81, 01, 63, 12, 03, 06, 16, 44, 10, and 43 were weighed.
- Aerodynamic Components/Bodywork (Cars 81 and 44): The same extensive list of components as for Car 18 was checked (Articles C3.5.1 to C3.11.4).
- Engine Cooling System: Logged pressure checked on all cars.
- Engine High Rev Limit Bands: Checked on all cars.
- Fuel Flow Meter: Calibration checksums checked on all cars.
- Instantaneous Fuel Energy Flow: Checked on all cars.
- Fuel Temperature: Checked on all cars.
- Plenum Temperature: Checked on all cars.
- Engine Intake Air Pressure: Checked on all cars.
- Maximum Turbocharger Speed: Checked on all cars.
- DC Sensor Temperatures: Checked on all cars.
- On-track ES State of Charge: Checked on all cars.
- ERS Recharge Limits: Checked on all cars.
- Maximum MGU-K Speed: Checked on all cars.
- Session Type: Confirmed for all cars.
- Chassis FIA Checksum: Checked on all cars.
- Torque Sensor Software Version: Checks carried out on all cars.
- Torque Sensor Calibration: Checks carried out on all cars.
- Rear Brakes Pressure Control: Checked on all cars.
- Steering Wheel: Checked on all cars.
- Custom Software Version: Checks carried out on all cars.
- SECU Software Version: Checks carried out on all cars.
- Tyres Cold Pressure: Checked on car numbers 06 and 10.
- Tyres Used: Checked for all drivers during the sessions today.
- Fuel Samples: Taken from car numbers 01 and 63.
- Fuel Analysis: All fuel samples checked for density and analyzed by gas chromatography. Results consistent with approved reference fuels. Further density checks were within permitted limits.
- Engine Oil Sample: Taken from car number 01.
- Engine Oil Analysis: Samples analyzed by FTIR spectroscopy and viscometry. Results consistent with approved reference engine oil samples.
