Post-Qualifying Procedure - 2026 Miami Grand Prix

This document outlines the mandatory procedures for drivers and teams following the conclusion of the qualifying session.

1. Top Three (3) Drivers

• Return to Pit Lane: After the chequered flag in Q3, the top 3 drivers must return to the Pit Lane and park at the 1, 2, 3 boards.
• Weighing: Drivers must be weighed by the FIA immediately after exiting their cars while remaining fully attired (helmet, gloves, etc.).
• Interviews & Photos:
  • Interviews will take place in Parc Fermé.
  • Following interviews, drivers will proceed to the backdrop for Top 3 and Pirelli Award photos.
  • They will then be escorted to the FIA Press Conference and subsequently to the TV pen.
• Access Restricted: Only team mechanics (with cooling fans), officials, and pre-approved media are allowed in the designated area. No physios or PR personnel.

2. Other Drivers (4th - 20th)

• TV Pen: Drivers eliminated in Q1/Q2 and those 4th-10th in Q3 must attend the TV pen interviews immediately after being weighed.
• Written Media: Drivers from 4th onwards without organized sessions must be available at the written media zone after TV interviews.
• Weighing Protocols:
  • Drivers finishing after Q1 or Q2 must go to the FIA scales via the pit lane immediately.
  • No drinking or actions that increase weight are permitted before weighing.
  • Drivers stopping on track (if not sent to Medical Centre) must also proceed to the scales.

3. Parc Fermé Layout

• The designated area is located near the FIA Garages and Race Control.
• Specific parking spots are marked for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cars near the Pit Wall.
