Technical Delegate's Report
Event: 2026 Japanese Grand Prix

1. Before Free Practice 1
- Exhaust Systems: Checked against declarations for all cars.
2. During and After Free Practice 1
- General Checks: Tyre pressures, fuel flow meter calibration, fuel energy flow (instantaneous/partial), and temperatures (fuel/plenum/intake air).
- Systems Monitoring: Fuel pressure, engine cooling system pressure, and maximum turbocharger speed.
- Electronics & Software: DC sensor code, ES state of charge, ERS recharge limits, MGU-K power limits, and custom software versions.
- Samples: Fuel and engine oil samples were taken from Car 18.
3. During and After Free Practice 2
- General Checks: Repeated monitoring of tyre pressures, fuel systems, and temperatures for all cars.
- Specific Checks:
- Car 43 was weighed.
- Rear brakes pressure control: Checked on Cars 12, 44, 05, and 11.
- Chassis FIA checksum and SECU software versions verified for all cars.
- Samples: Fuel and engine oil samples were taken from Car 55.
4. Conclusion
All fuel and oil analyses (FTIR spectroscopy/viscometry) confirmed consistency with approved reference samples. All checked items were found to be in conformity with the 2026 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
