Event: 2026 Australian Grand Prix From: The FIA Formula One Race Director To: All Teams, All Officials

General Instructions

1. Qualifying & Reconnaissance Laps: Drivers exceeding the maximum time between Safety Car Lines may be deemed unnecessarily slow.
2. Parc Fermé: Cameras must remain uncovered and operational at all times.
3. Lapping during Race: Slower cars must allow overtaking at the first opportunity when blue flags/lights are shown (triggered at 1.2s gap).
4. Restart Pace: No erratic acceleration or braking after Safety Car lights are extinguished.
5. ERS Safety Check: Teams must connect the umbilical for telemetry logging immediately after covers are removed.
6. Pit Lane Safety: Personnel allowed only for immediate work. "ALL PASS HOLDERS" message signals general access after the session.
7. Track Limits: Lap times are invalidated if a driver fails to negotiate the track within white lines.

Competition Specific Instructions

• Practice Starts: Only on the right-hand side of the fast lane at pit exit.
• Support Races: Team barriers must be no more than 3m from the garage.
• Circuit Changes: Realignment of white lines at Turn 2 and Turn 10; Turn 6 gravel replaced by grass; Pit exit and SC Line 2 widened.
