Williams Investing in Future Talent Through Early Career Programs

Why it matters: Williams is actively developing young talent through its early career programs, ensuring a pipeline of skilled individuals for the future of the team and Formula 1.

The details:

  • Williams offers various early career pathways, including the Komatsu-Williams Engineering Academy, apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and a schools outreach program.
  • These programs aim to attract and train young individuals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
  • Three members of different programs shared their experiences:
    • Aaliyah Ascroft (Graduate Design Engineer, Mechanical): Aaliyah designs parts that go on the F1 car and enjoys seeing her work in action. She appreciates the support from ex-early career colleagues within Williams.
    • Fleur Vermeulen (Industrial Placement, Aerodynamics): Fleur values the hands-on experience and responsibility given to her. She was attracted by James Vowles' passion for early career programs.
    • Reece Gerring (Apprentice, Electronics): Reece is fulfilling his passion for F1 and aims to become one of the best engineers. He appreciates the network and support available within Williams.

What's next: Williams will continue to expand its early career programs. Positions for 2026 will be available later this year. Students can register their interest on the team’s new careers website.
