Why it matters
This marks a significant public demonstration of the technical partnership established late in 2024 between the American F1 team Haas and Toyota Gazoo Racing. It's also Haas's debut at the iconic Goodwood Festival, coinciding with their 10th season in Formula 1.
The details
- Saturday Schedule: Esteban Ocon will pilot the Toyota GT Race Concept, while Oliver Bearman drives the GT Concept. They will be joined by the Duke of Richmond at 4:50 PM.
- Sunday Schedule: The drivers will swap cars at 9:20 AM. Ocon will then take the wheel of the Toyota WRC car at 10:15 AM.
- Haas Presence: Team owner Gene Haas, Team Chief Ayao Komatsu, along with Ocon and Bearman, are all expected to tackle the famous hillclimb. The Haas VF23 and VF24 F1 cars will be seen on track, and the VF16 and VF25 will be displayed in the team's activation area.
What they're saying
Oliver Bearman: "I’m over the moon to be attending Goodwood this year. It’s such a fantastic event for the UK. It’s a special year for the team, celebrating 10 seasons in F1, and I’m excited to see everyone support us. It’s going to be a lot of fun."
Esteban Ocon: "The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an amazing event. I’m really looking forward to going with the team this year as it is 10 seasons since MoneyGram Haas F1 Team joined Formula 1. We’re going to have lots of exciting things to show – it’s a celebration for us – and it’s great that we can share with fans. It’s always fun as we’re driving the cars we love with no pressure. It’s always a beautiful event, and I’m excited to look around."
