F1 Title Fight Heats Up With Major Imola Upgrades Revealed
Major upgrades have been delivered to Imola as F1 teams look to make their mark in the title fight.
Round seven of the F1 championship sees the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix kick off the European leg of the season.
The main protagonists in the title battle have brought crucial upgrades to the event. McLaren, Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes have all introduced updates, focusing on areas like the rear corner, suspension, sidepods, front wing, and engine cover.
Aston Martin bring biggest package of all
The Aston Martin package, meanwhile, is considerable and the most significant of all the teams. The team has endured a difficult season and hopes these updates will help. The AMR25 updates, due to be on Lance Stroll's car only through Friday practice as part of correlation tests, boast:
- A new floor, complete with fences and an edge to improve underfloor flowfield and increase local load.
- A revised shape for the coke to aid the performance of the floor.
- An updated diffuser.
- Reduced fin detail around the rear halo mounts to manage cockpit flow.
- A new beam wing to assist with drag reduction.
Other teams like Racing Bulls and Alpine have also brought updates. Haas has brought a major package that includes a new floor, floor edge, diffuser, rear corner, and rear suspension.
Williams and Stake are the only two teams without any updates this weekend.
