Fact & Infringement
- Fact: The floor of Car 5 was transported by team personnel from one side of the garage to the other whilst covered by a large sheet. In addition, team personnel obstructed the view of Car 5 using another sheet while mechanics were working underneath the car.
- Infringement: Breach of Article B3.3.1 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.
Decision & Reason
Decision: The competitor (Audi Revolut F1 Team) is fined €5,000.
- Reason:
- The Stewards heard from the Team Representative, the FIA Technical Delegate, and reviewed video evidence.
- The Team Representative recognized the breach, explaining that due to the garage allocation (two garages separated by another team's garage), the floor had to be transported through a third-party visible area, leading them to cover it.
- While acknowledging the circumstances, it does not constitute an exception to Article B3.3.1.
- Furthermore, personnel obstructed the view of Car 5 using another sheet while working underneath it.
