2026 British Grand Prix - Post-Race Procedure
Overview
This document outlines the procedures for post-race interviews and the podium ceremony for the 2026 British Grand Prix.
Key Procedures
1. Parc Fermé & Weighing
- Weight Check: Drivers must be weighed by the FIA in full attire (including helmet and gloves).
- Access Control: Only team mechanics (with cooling fans), officials, and approved media are allowed in the designated area. No team PR or driver physios are permitted until the ceremony concludes.
- Conduct: Drivers must not interfere with Parc Fermé protocols.
2. Podium Ceremony
- Dress Code: Per Article B10.2.2, drivers must remain in their driving suits, 'done up' to the neck.
- Sequence of Events:
- 3rd placed driver moves to the podium.
- 2nd placed driver moves to the podium.
- Winning driver moves to the podium.
- National Anthems and flag display.
- Presentation of trophies (Winning Driver -> FIA Medal -> Winning Constructor representative).
3. Post-Race Media
- Top 3 Drivers: Escorted by the FIA Media Delegate to the TV pen, followed by the FIA Press Conference.
- Drivers 4th and beyond: Must proceed to the TV pen after weighing. If no written media session is organized, they must be available for interviews in the written media zone adjacent to the TV pen.
- Retired Drivers: Must report to the TV pen (and written media pen if applicable) upon returning to the paddock.
