Technical Delegate's Report - 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

This report details the technical checks performed by the FIA Formula One Technical Delegate before and after the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Before the Race:
Aerodynamic Deflection Tests:
- Rear Wing Main Plane Tip Deflection: Car numbers 81 (Oscar Piastri - McLaren Mercedes), 04 (Lando Norris - McLaren Mercedes), and 01 (Max Verstappen - Red Bull Racing Honda RBPT) were tested.
- Front Wing Deflection (Symmetric & Asymmetric): Car numbers 81, 04, and 01 were tested.
- Front Wing Flap Deflection: Car numbers 81, 04, and 01 were tested.
- Front Floor Deflection: Car numbers 14 (Fernando Alonso - Aston Martin Aramco Mercedes), 31 (Esteban Ocon - Haas Ferrari), and 05 (Gabriel Bortoleto - Kick Sauber Ferrari) were tested.
Gurney Checks:
- Front Wing Gurney Size: Checked on car numbers 81, 04, 16 (Charles Leclerc - Ferrari), 44 (Lewis Hamilton - Ferrari), 31, 87 (Oliver Bearman - Haas Ferrari), 23 (Alexander Albon - Williams Mercedes), 55 (Carlos Sainz - Williams Mercedes), 27 (Nico Hülkenberg - Kick Sauber Ferrari), and 05.
- Rear Wing Gurney Size: Checked on car numbers 81, 04, 16, 44, 01, 22 (Yuki Tsunoda - Red Bull Racing Honda RBPT), 63 (George Russell - Mercedes), 12 (Kimi Antonelli - Mercedes), 18 (Lance Stroll - Aston Martin Aramco Mercedes), 14, 10 (Pierre Gasly - Alpine Renault), 43 (Franco Colapinto - Alpine Renault), 31, 87, 06 (Isack Hadjar - Racing Bulls Honda RBPT), 30 (Liam Lawson - Racing Bulls Honda RBPT), 27, and 05.
Other Pre-Race Checks:
- Car Set-up: Car numbers 81, 04, and 01 confirmed to match team submissions prior to Qualifying.
- ICE Coolant Header Tank PRV: Checked on car numbers 04 and 01.
- Tyre Fitment & Heating Blankets: All cars on the grid had tyres fitted and heating blankets disconnected at the '5-Minutes' signal.
- Tyre Temperature (LHS & RHS Front/Rear): Checked on car numbers 81, 04, 16, 01, 22, 63, 14, 31, 87, 06, 30, 55, and 05.
- Minimum Tyre Starting Pressure (LHS & RHS Front/Rear): Checked on all cars.
After the Race:
Car Weighing:
All cars that participated in the race were weighed. A full list of car numbers and drivers is provided in the original document.

- Fuel pressure (all cars)
- Fuel flow meter calibration checksums (all cars)
- Instantaneous fuel mass flow (all cars)
- Partial load fuel mass flow (all cars)
- Fuel temperature (all cars)
- Engine & Power Unit:
- Logged pressure within engine cooling system (all cars)
- Engine high rev limit bands (all cars)
- Plenum temperature (all cars)
- Oil consumption (all cars)
- Exhaust fluid mass flow (all cars)
- IVT code and calibration checksums (all cars)
- IVT temperatures (all cars)
- ES state of charge on-track limits (all cars)
- Lap energy release and recovery limits (all cars)
- MGU-K power limits (all cars)
- Maximum MGU-K speed (all cars)
- Maximum MGU-K torque (all cars)

- Control Systems:
- Torque coordinator demands (all cars)

- General Checks:
- Session type confirmed (all cars)
- Chassis FIA checksum (all cars)
- Rear brakes pressure control (all cars)
- Brake temperature warnings (all cars)
- Steering wheel (all cars)
- Race start data (all cars)
- Single clutch paddle use for race start (all cars)
- No car exceeded 80 km/h leaving formation grid prior to race start.
- PCU dash display configuration not changed during Parc Fermé (all cars).
- Aerodynamic oscillations metrics (all cars).
- Tyres:
- Tyre starting pressures during the race (all cars)
- Tyres cold pressure (car number 44)
- Tyres used by all drivers during the race.
Conclusion:
All car weights and the items checked were found to be in conformity with the 2025 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.
